The scholarship period was decisive for Märta’s career choice

Entrepreneurship and innovation have always interested Märta Eriksson. When she had the opportunity to delve into both these areas at two of the world’s leading business schools, she didn’t hesitate to apply. Now, almost six years since she was selected for the K-A Bonnier International Fellowship Program (KAB-IFP), she benefits greatly from the experiences in her professional role as senior manager of consumer insights and analytics at Zound Industries.

KAB-IFP provided Wasita Thongdee with valuable knowledge and contacts

Wasita Thongdee is one of sixteen outstanding students who has participated in the K-A Bonnier International Fellows Program (KAB-IFP). Her years in Sweden and Singapore gave her friends for life and a double master’s degree from two reputable business schools. Today, she is managing a small domestic accessory brand based in Thailand.

The foundation contributes to the new research hub House of GaPP at SSE

House of Governance and Public Policy (GaPP), a new research hub at Stockholm School of Economics, is now launched. At the launch event on October 12, the participants were given insights on how this unique initiative will contribute to a better and more stable foundation for our future society.

The K-A Bonnier International Fellows Program gave Mai Pham experiences and contacts for life

Since 2017, sixteen exceptionally talented students from Sweden and Southeast Asia have participated in the K-A Bonnier International Fellows Program (KAB-IFP). Mai Pham was one of the first students to be awarded the scholarship and three years have now passed since she completed the program. KAB-IFP both shaped her worldview and brought life-long connections.

Interest in intrapreneurship continues to grow

A company’s intrapreneurship, or capacity for innovation, is crucial to its success. During 2016–2019, the Karl-Adam Bonnier Foundation funded the research project Intrapreneurship Compass with the aim of strengthening knowledge in a relatively unexplored area with great significance for the development of business in Sweden. One of the researchers on the team was Dr Katarina Blomkvist who states that a lot has happened since the project ended.

The foundation highlighted important future issues at Expo 2020

The Karl-Adam Bonnier Foundation closed out 2021 by hosting the Smart Society Summit at Expo 2020 in Dubai. Together with the Swedish Institute and Business Sweden, we invited dignitaries and business leaders from Sweden and the Gulf region to discuss how we can create the smart societies of the future. Both H.M. The King and Minister for Foreign Trade and Nordic Affairs Anna Hallberg attended on site in Dubai.

Distinguished Global Swede award to KAB-IFP fellow

On May 28, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Swedish Institute awarded the Global Swede award to 19 prominent international students at Swedish universities. For ten years, the Global Swede award has been awarded to active, committed and enthusiastic students who are excellent in areas closely related to innovation and entrepreneurship.

On January 20th, 2020 the Karl-Adam Bonnier Foundation hosted a yearly alumni dinner for its current KAB-IFP fellows and Darden fellows. During the evening Jessica O’Mary, Head of Development & Alumni Relations at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), shared how they work to create involvement and a culture of giving back among their SSE-almuni.

During a few eventful days in November 2019, the Karl-Adam Bonnier Foundation visited the US to raise discussion on reskilling and the new Swedish model.
